This 15-minute side dish, Honey Butter Skillet Corn, combines frozen corn, honey, butter, and cream cheese. Delicious, with a hint of sweetness and creaminess.
Honey-Butter Skillet Corn with Butter
We call the Midwest home, and when summer rolls around, there are delightful roadside kiosks selling fresh corn straight from farmers’ fields. There is a plenty of tasty maize.
Because it’s easy to make and everyone enjoys it, this one-pan dinner is great for weeknights (or any night!).
Ingredients for the Recipe
Two teaspoons of butter Two tablespoons of salty honey and a 16-ounce bag of frozen maize are ingredients that I often use in my dishes.
Cream cheese in chunks, two ounces
Half a teaspoon of salt and a quarter teaspoon of pepper
Corn Recipe with Honey Butter and Skillet
While the butter and honey are melting, heat a pan over medium-high heat. Once the butter has melted, cook the corn for 5 to 8 minutes, stirring occasionally, or until it reaches a soft consistency.
Toss in some cream cheese, season with salt and pepper. Combine all ingredients by whisking. For around three to five minutes, stir occasionally while cooking.
It is imperative that you promptly serve. Food that has been sealed in a container and placed in the fridge will retain its freshness for quite some time.
The nutrition facts are for six servings of the side dish, but if you’re feeding little children, you can easily make eight servings.
Gold n’ white corn is my favorite frozen corn, but any sort will work. Make sure you’re getting the 16-oz (1 lb) bag of frozen corn.
